Our Story
I thought I was creating accessories. Turns out, I was crafting confidence.
When my world fell apart, I needed something to hold onto.
Not a quote. Not a mantra. Something physical - something I could touch when the fear got loud and remind myself that light existed at the end of the tunnel.
So I carved my first talisman. By hand. From that wreckage.
That piece became my lifeline. And then it became Chikahisa Studio.
What we make and how
Every piece begins in wax, shaped by hand with no plan and no expectations. Just presence, instinct, and whatever wants to emerge. That wax becomes metal —-bronze, sterling silver, 18k gold - cast through family-owned foundries in the US finished by a small, fairly compensated team in Seattle.
The marks made by hand survive the casting process. They live in the finished piece forever. Which means every talisman carries the energy of the moment it was made.
That's not a marketing claim. That's just how making works.
Who it's for
Women who are done wearing things that mean nothing.
Women moving through change - a loss, a becoming, a quiet decision to finally put themselves first.
Women who understand, as the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi teaches us, that the most beautiful things are not perfect. They are lived.
The philosophy in one line
Imperfection is not a flaw. It is where the soul of an object lives.
Armor for the modern warrior. Made one talisman at a time.
Find the piece that was made for you.
